“I became a Doula 7 years ago, following the birth of my god-daughter. After holding my friends hand throughout her entire pregnancy, labor and delivery, I became devoted to learning more about the process for women on a holistic and medical level. I am certified in pre-natal, post-natal, fertility, and infant-massage instruction as well. I have a passion for bringing moms and families to a state of empowerment before they even set foot in the delivery room. My aim with my work is to know my clients needs so the labor and delivery process is safe, comforting, consistent with birth plan, and healthy for both mom and baby. I will provide as much education and resources as I can. I will refer you to outside medical/clinical professionals if necessary; this is your birth, I strive to honor that.”

Our pricing is broken down below, But chances are your birth plan will evolve. To secure our doula services, book a consultation and pay a modest non-refundable deposit. Your customized plan will be built during our appointment and you’ll be billed for your services according to a plan we create together.

“I wasn’t trying to get pregnant but it wasn’t immaculate conception either. I had my role in it all. I know my birds & bees. But when I found out, I just knew. I knew that the choice I was going to make for myself was to have a child. When the only unconditional support I ever knew suddenly disappeared by that choice, and the person I created that child with went off the deep end 3 months into the pregnancy. I was genuinely feeling terrified & alone. But I still knew. A friend of mine went to my ultrasound with me, but it was raven who came to the west side every week to go to childbirth class with me. I did a pretty extensive course because it felt like the only thing I could control with the messy abuse and stress all around me. She went with me week after week. She arrived at the hospital for my labor before I even did and stayed the whole time. Everyone else was just annoying noise except her. She washed my face while I was screaming in pain. When everyone else who showed up out of nowhere the minute the baby arrived ran down the hall to try and convince the nurses in the NICU to let them hold the baby after she’d been whisked away from me, Raven stayed with me. There wasn’t ever any question. I could say a lot more, but I know my daughter & I are who we are as a two person family unit because of Raven. The calm center some people display in the midst of other people’s chaos should be an adjective named after her, ravenesque. I’ve had a raven tattoo on my back long before I met her, but she has always been there for me. Tears, sweat, shit & pee, with some bomb ass food & perfect tea once things settle back down. When I think of doula, I think of my friend, fellow traveler, and kindred spirit Raven.”
